Hello! I’m writing today to answer the question, “Why Yoga Camp?
I ‘ve been directing this event since 2014, and it really has taken off since its infancy. It has also brought into light a lot of the strengths I knew had, but had not yet shared with the world. Thank you for allowing me to share my passion for community and my strengths for making that happen. I am continually grateful for our #commUNITY for being so receptive to Yoga Camp. I am looking forward to Saturday because I can’t wait for the magic.
So why Yoga Camp?
My short answer is that Yoga Camp is magical, and that’s why I do it. My long answer starts here:
I heard this quote this morning and was thinking about it in regards to Yoga Camp, "Entrepreneurship is the pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled." -Howard Stevenson, Harvard Business School Professor
You can take this further by thinking about it like this; entrepreneurship is about pursuing the opportunity to make the world better by creating something of value. I believe we have created Yoga Camp, it is with you that this is possible, first of all, and secondly, what we have created is a place to celebrate our #commUNITY!
I strongly believe that getting people together like we do at Yoga Camp reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves. We are part of an incredible #commUNITY. Yoga Camp is truly yoga without borders.
Let me break that down a bit for you. At Yoga Camp, the Twin Cities yoga community comes together to celebrate, outside, without separation. There are no studio walls, a just wide open space to allow for maximum alchemy.
One of my favorite things in life is to connect people. I love the sparks that happen when I help bring people together to accomplish something. The world is more positive when people unite their strengths, gifts and talents for positive transformation. It is the most inspiring thing to watch because I am never sure what will come of the connections, but the possibilities are endless.
The other thing I love about Yoga Camp is the yoga.
First of all, Yoga Camp highlights the best teachers in the Twin Cities and secondly the benefits of practicing outside are many. Literally you get to connect with the Earth. There is live music, which is healing in itself and the power of practicing in a large community amplifies the benefits of positive transformation. Also shavasna in the grass is the most amazing healing experience ever, you really can let go upon the surface of Mother Earth.
Some of the things you want to be mindful of at Yoga Camp is to arrive on time so that you can check in. You can save time by preregistering online at yogacampmpls.com/registration, you can give a donation or not, just come! Part of our proceeds for the donations will benefit the Northside Radiant Life Yoga Project. #goodcause.
Also remember, the intention is to enjoy summer and celebrate togetherness. Try to hang out for a bit after class, visit with each other, slow down and enjoy yourself, check out the vendors and take your time. This is your opportunity to connect and celebrate summer!!!
Yoga Camp welcomes all levels. There is a festival feel so don’t expect your normal yoga class, there will be live music and lots of friends all around you.
Lastly, if it ever were to rain, we will go directly inside. Parking is super easy or you can ride your bike, take the bus, or the light rail, or even walk. If you are parking, I like to park in the lot. The last thing I want to worry about during Yoga Camp is if my meter is going to expire.
See you this saturday at Yoga Camp. Thank you for making this possible.
